You have written a possibly great piece that wanders away from its central thesis as soon as it can, heading directly for your two favorite hobbyhorses, white privilege and black folks, who just don't stack up in your book. You also made another point, and I want to make sure I understand you completely. Do you believe that my discussion of racial tensions was a diversion away from my main point which did not belong there. I think that is your contention, but I want to be absolutely certain that I read you correctly.
