Damn the Masochistic Dems: They May Make Trump Win in 2024.

I should not be surprised by Democratic self-abuse. They have a long and sordid pornographic history of shoving 13-inch dildos into themselves.
Trump’s failure to report payments to Stormy Daniels to shut-up about her sexual games with Donald did, perhaps, amount to a violation of campaign finance law reporting requirements. But everyone, with the exception of legal grinds on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, see it as a sex story. And they reason: Many Americans voted for him in 2020 knowing full well that he was a gaudy philanderer (Remember the tape of Trump saying, “Grab ‘em by the pussy”) so his hush money payments are an irrelevant diversion.
But the self-flagellating Dems would rather talk about this than infinitely more important things. We have Trump, on tape, telling Ukrainian authorities that he would not arm them against Russia unless they spread dirt about Hunter Biden. We have him, on tape, demanding that Georgia’s Secretary of State find 12,000 extra votes for him. But there are even more incriminating things on tape. Just as Bob Dylan sang “Now Ain’t the Time for your Tears” in his song “The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carrol,” now ain’t the time for your outrage, because there’s another tape:
A few years ago, the New York Times reported that on tape there is a recording in which leading Republican legislators in Washington spoke amongst themselves and acknowledged that Trump routinely got money from Russia. (Actually, I read so many stories in the NY Times for which there is no follow up, only forgetfulness. I can’t get it out of my head that the NY Times reported, shortly after 9/11, that short-selling on airline stocks soared immediately before 9/11. What does this mean: It means some of the big boys on Wall Street, and/or one of America’s greatest buddies, the theocratic fascists of Saudi Arabia, were in on the 9/11 catastrophe and made millions from it by betting that airline stocks would collapse in value.)
Very simply, I contend that Trump, to some extent, is a Russian agent. Hell, his 2020 campaign manager, Paul Manafort, got millions from Russia (Manafort, if I recall correctly, was convicted of a few crimes for this). Trump’s first National Security Advisor got money from the Russian government and is considered a Russian agent. The NY Times also reported that Russia repeatedly sent money to Trump, laundered by Deutschebank, as American creditors often won’t lend to him because he has a propensity to make his corporations declare bankruptcy. I discussed Trump’s patent illegalities in other posts. I won’t repeat them here; the list of misdeeds is too damn voluminous to repeat.
If you think my allegations smack of yellow journalism, I must tell you what Roger Hillsman (Assistant Secretary of State for Far Eastern Affairs under JFK) told me in a class at Columbia University. He said: All men in world politics are willing to commit murder.
Very simply, we are completely justified in believing the worst, and I think it’s quite possible that Trump wasn’t sent to jail a long time ago only because his buddies in the mob threatened to put some well-positioned prosecutors in cement shoes and then throw them in the river. Very simply, not every allegation of conspiracy is a product of right wing mental midgets and a sign of poor intellectual breeding.
In any event, the Stormy Daniels diversion will help Trump and hurt the Dems. To most of America, it looks like this: They investigated Trump for a dozen different things, and nothing resulted in a finding of Trump’s guilt, so now they are going after him about sex. On top of that, the Dems may take a severe beating because of the economy, which will probably get worse.
The inflation we currently contend with is not the fault of the Democrats or the liberals. I explained this in a prior article (Footnote 1). However, a large proportion of the populace assumes that every ill affecting the nation must, of necessity, have only one cause: the lazy bum currently in power. Therefore, many people will blame Biden for inflation. Also, the Dems will suffer from something more detestable than inflation, a recession. The higher interest rates that are being imposed may probably induce a recession. Indeed, this is what higher interest rates usually do.
You may think that Trump is so unpopular today that his electoral viability is nil. He may be very unpopular today, but public opinion is highly malleable and mercurial. Popularity changes in a split second. For example, in January of 1991, at the conclusion of our first war with Iraq, Bush had an approval rating of 91 percent. However, less than two years later, in November 1992, he lost to Bill Clinton 43 percent to 38 percent (The balance went to Ross Perot.) Similarly, through most of 1971, Richard Nixon had mediocre approval ratings in the low to mid 40’s. In November 1972, he beat George Mc Govern by roughly 60 percent to 40 percent.
Why are the Democrats such bloody, blundering, boohooing weaklings orchestrating Trump’s electoral revival ?
I think the answer was provided to me by an old Puerto Rican woman who refused my plea that she come out and vote for the Democrats. She said, “The Democrats are rich too.”
Yes, the leadership of the Democratic Party, by and large, consists of very wealthy men and like their purported Republican antagonists they want their tax cuts too. They are rich, and Republican policies further their interests.
Let me give you a few examples of how Democrats, in conjunction with the phony liberal media, routinely do a pathetic job of articulating the “liberal” position and have helped the GOP win in so many sad Novembers.
A) The media and the Democrats have allowed Republicans to disseminate garbage to the effect that the criminal justice system is too liberal and lets criminals get away with murder. Fact: In New York City, in 2013, public defenders were given 200 dollars, from the State, to hire an investigator in a murder case. (Footnote 2). If your client is on trial for murder, you have to get an investigator to determine who really committed the crime. A private investigator will find someone’s unlisted phone number for 450 dollars. To find who the real murderer is, they want tens of thousands of dollars. But the very liberal city of New York will give you 200 dollars to get an investigator. And the dumb dolts who vegetate listening to Fox News think that poor people and street criminals rule the roost.
B) The Supreme Court ruled that a man convicted of murder cannot overturn his conviction on the grounds that he was not represented adequately because his attorney literally fell asleep at trial. Why does the Court render such asinine judgments ? Because if the Court admitted the truth, it would have to admit that thousands of criminal defendants, who are represented by poorly paid public defenders, and millions of Medicaid patients are given substandard care and that our liberal “safeguards” against rank inequality and persecution are an unmitigated sham.
C) In the 1980’s, Democrats in Congress repeatedly sought to stop the Reagan administration from funding the “Contras,” the foes of the Socialist regime in Nicaragua. The media, of course, reported this. The public were given the impression that Democrats and liberals were loudly voicing their protests and perhaps enfeebling the fight against Communism. In fact, the debates and the votes taken in Congress were irrelevant. Reagan was able to get money to the Contras, no matter what Congress did, by demanding that Saudi Arabia and Israel kick back some of their foreign aid and give the money to the contras. (In large measure, our democracy was a sham long before Trump entered the scene.)
D) Since the inauguration of the “Great Society” programs of 1960’s, Republicans have been screaming that “liberals” do too much for lazy, parasitic poor people. However, every poverty program contains a corresponding program which gives wealthier people greater aid and sabotages the aid given to the poor. The strongest articulation of this argument was made by Michael Harrington in about 12 very concise, pungent and powerful pages. The pages appeared in his late Seventies book, “The Twilight of Capitalism,” more specifically in a chapter entitled, “Bourgeois Liberalism.” I urge everyone to read this.
E) Republicans have warped the political discourse by convincing Ma and Pa Mediocrity in Mental Molasses Missouri (Footnote 3) that the Federal government has crippled big business through a cancerous web of regulations that are eviscerating commerce and sending stately steel magnates to the Poorhouse. The allegedly liberal media repeats republican allegations as if they were gospel truth.
(But the media usually behaves like a megaphone for republicans and rarely knows not a wit of what journalism is. For example, in 1994, when George Pataki ran against Mario Cuomo in New York’s Gubernatorial race, Pataki charged that Cuomo deemed that Medicaid would pay for cosmetic hair transplants for men. This was a bald-faced lie, but the New York Media repeated what Pac Man Pataki said without comment or criticism. Pataki won the election.)
However, regulatory agencies, far from oppressing big business, are often “colonized” (Galbraith, 1957, “The Affluent Society”) by the businesses they are supposed to regulate. For example, AZT, the first drug approved by the FDA to fight AIDS, was actually invented in 1964, long before we knew about AIDS, by a scientist working for the government to find a cure for cancer. It didn’t do anything to combat cancer, but it did to a number on the AIDS virus. Nevertheless, Glaxo Welcome got the patent for AIDS and oodles of money even though that company had nothing to do with the drug’s creation. Remember that every time big pharma says it needs huge profits to find new drugs.
F) Republicans used to say that Al Gore said that he, Al Gore, invented the internet. The media repeated the Republican lie. In fact, Gore had merely said that he had voted in favor of legislation which authorized the Pentagon to conduct research which led to the internet’s creation. But Republicans lied nevertheless, the media repeated the lie and the lie become so deeply embedded in the toxic 2000 presidential campaign that Gore finally, sheepishly, went along with the lie and made fun of himself for having allegedly said that he had invented the internet.
G) Informed people know that the Trump administration was fully aware that Covid was an imminent nightmare as far back as January 2020. Indeed, Bob Woodward taped an interview with Trump in which Trump said, in January 2020 (when Trump publicly said that Covid was not a problem), that Covid would kill many, many people because A) It is much more dangerous than the flu and B) it is much more easily transmissible than the flu.
But Trump is not the only one who did not tell the truth about Covid. Various media outlets reported, a little over a year ago, that various federal legislators liquidated all their stock holdings shortly after they became apprised of the coming Covid calamity. (The market did not tank because the government threw billion of fresh dollars into the economy, and that economic stimulus is the cause of today’s inflation) These legislators knew what Covid was about to do, but the public did not and these legislators did not care to tell the public. One of the legislators was one of the purported shining stars of feminism and liberalism, Senator Diane Feinstein of California. Through all the decades of her storied career as a shrewd and masterful political hack, she always claimed to care about the little people. If she had really cared, she would have sounded the alarm re Covid and had pressed the President to invoke the defense production act to order factories to produce more masks, ventilators and PPE (personal protective equipment). However, as that old Puerto Rican woman told me many years ago, the Democrats are rich too.

Footnote 1:
Footnote 2: I haven’t had anything to do with criminal law since around 2013. Consequently, I have no idea what New York is currently giving public defenders to hire private investigators in a murder case.
Footnote 3: I had not meant to disparage the intellectual resources of my countrymen, but while writing this I started to think about President Harry Truman’s family. Harry Truman’s uncle said that G-d made white people from sand, made black people from mud, and made Chinamen (Like many Americans he thought that an Asian was, by definition, Chinese) from whatever was left over.
Here in California, a popular Democratic led single-payer healthcare plan was killed when the health insurance industry donated a million dollars to the state's Democratic party. Plus, these bastions of "free press" continue to allow Snowden and Assange suffer for their crime of exposing any number of civil liberty crimes against the citizens.
I abstained from voting in 2016. I voted Democrat straight ticket in 2020 (purely as a statement against the anti-science, anti-rational, Republican party) - but not without feeling like I was dipping my hand into dog vomit to take a bite of partially digested table scraps.
You give me little hope for the future but your smart column sure makes me laugh like hell.
