It’s Only Rock n Roll, but I Like it
(The redeeming fevers, political and otherwise, stoked by Rock n Roll)

Although I would not forage through the lyric sheets of rock and roll songs to look for a political program, or a system of ethics or the answer to any of the riddles of our lives, the music itself has a redemptive energy that can jolt you out of depression, seize the day, and make you breathe deep of the muck of life and its occasional majesty too.
My allegiance (or grossly juvenile and pathological fixation) to this music is probably quite obvious as so many of my posts on substack are complemented with youtube videos of songs that have won me over. In this post, I am giving you my recitation of a few poems I wrote about rock n roll.
Bravo! Loved this, David. I KNOW, it's only rock and roll, but I like it too.✌️
