Donald Trump: The Leper Messiah and Tribune of the Lonesome Losers
By being an "oober" capitalist without talent or merit, and by demonstrating that he succeeded by being an adroit liar, Trump vindicates capitalism’s victims.

Trump is often electorally successful because he is the prophet and tribune of the unsuccessful. He amassed billions of dollars without possessing a speck of talent, intelligence or wit. He is up front about how he rose to the pinnacle of privilege, luxury and utterly undeserved wealth. He boasts that he never played by the rules of the plebian rubbish, never deigned to do his homework or study the lives of heroic men, and gleefully sunk the golden rule in the brownest shit. He sped in the fast lane, savoring life as a bawdy bastard and commercial Kapo robbing people blind.
By frankly advertising that he made it big by being a bastard and nothing more, this apostle of American capitalism implicitly defames capitalism. He makes it clear that the rich are not rich because of merit. He exposes the vicious truth: The rich rule the roost because they are the biggest and most adroit liars.
After all, what is the essence of the capitalist act ? Taking dreck (Yiddish for shit) worth 20 dollars and convincing some poor shnook to give you 50 dollars for your dreck.
By condemning capitalism, he vindicates poor people. He is a prophet proclaiming to his peasants that they are poor not because of a paucity of talent but because they are not venomous, virulent liars along the lines of Bill and Hillary Clinton who professed undying love for America’s workers while assiduously destroying our manufacturing muscle on the altar of third world imports and empowerment.
He is an exponent of a simpler sort of polity. The sort of rule that prevailed in the days of the ancien regime. He will give money and jobs to his serfs; they will in turn bow low and kiss the hem of his flowing robes. He roars, enough of Democracy and Capitalism, an ornate and evil charade in which people with inside information skewer everybody else.
I despise Trump. But I have loved listening to some of his rants: During one of his debates among his Republican competitors for the nomination in 2016, he pilloried our electoral process by telling us that he had given lavish contributions to about half of his competitors for the nomination, and he proved that most politicians were whores and spineless ciphers not deserving of an iota of respect. Incidentally, where are George and Jeb Bush, who Trump had fileted with sadistic finesse. They are cowering in their mansions. For the first time in my life, I am not jealous of them. They may live in mansions, but they have the pride of peons in adobe hovels near the Mexican border. They know they are cowardly mice.
Does my criticism of our brand of democracy and capitalism seem too severe. I could put examples of democratic debauchery in a footnote, but most people never read footnotes. So let me just remined you of one incident which exemplifies the tendency of our loving, liberal Democrats to be lying, larcenous prevaricators:
The New York Times Reported that in January 2020, before most Americans were cognizant of the dimensions of the coming Covid crisis, Senator Diane Feinstein received inside information to the effect that Covid was ten times deadlier than the flu and five times as contagious and would soon cause mass death in America. (Trump also received this information.) Trump ignored the problem. Diane Feinstein did worse than ignore the problem. She sold all her stocks as she anticipated economic collapse – this is called trading on inside information and was made illegal by the Securities Act of 1934. (Of course, there was no economic collapse because the government poured money right and left over everything for the next two years; that’s why we have inflation, not because Democrats are evil and mean. No, the Democrats are not evil and mean. They are simply as selfish and crass as every other two- faced bastard in Washington and New York.)
Some people might contend that I sound too cynical. Some polemicists have gone further and have argued that cynicism is at the root of both Trump and fascism, that our tendency to disbelieve and ridicule nourishes the likes of Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler.
But what does their denunciation of cynicism mean ? Are they telling us to believe in lies like little children believing in Santa Clause.
I am one of those people who believe that every third word uttered by CNN, Fox News and MSNBC is a bald-faced lie. I doubt and disbelieve simply because I remember too many things.
I remember reading an article, in the New York Times, about two months after 9/11 which noted that there was a huge surge in the purchase of shorts, on airline stocks, immediately before 9/11. One buys shorts when one anticipates that stocks are about to take a nosedive. Obviously, this tells us that some of the big boys on Wall Street were in on 9 /11. After this troubling report in the NY Times, the paper clammed up and nothing more was said. Why no investigation ?? Why didn’t the FBI enchain and shackle the sinister sadists who made money from people who jumped from the 100th floor of the World Trade Center. I worked on the 96th floor of World Trade Center Two, and I will never, ever forgive the Islamic Terrorists who incinerated my colleagues and the financial mandarins of Wall Street who feasted upon the dead.
Why the Trumpers will Not Cross Over to the Left
The preceding demonstrates that many Trumpers have the yen that makes men Reds. However, they can never embrace the left as it is constituted today in the United States. The American Left is thoroughly under the spell of identity politics. Convene an organization of leftists and within minutes they will command that a certain percentage of each and every committee must be X percent female, Y percent black, etc. This is anathema to the white working class.
The Trumpers do have something in common with traditional European Marxism, but the experiences of the Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of China, and the harrowing and sometimes histrionic manner in which their histories have been portrayed in the American media, makes most working-class Americans wholly hostile to the Marxist gospel.
Why the Unsuccessful Are Not Untalented
Inter-class mobility has been declining over the past few decades. In the 1950’s and 1960’s, it was quite common for a working-class person to go to school, get a good education, and ascend to the middle or upper middle class. However, this upward mobility is less common. Also, downward mobility is less common. Those born in grand and brilliant manor houses stay there and build extensions to their manors or additional homes all over the globe.
The rich have devised new ways to impede the upward mobility of poor and middle-class people. For example, for years they used legacy admissions and the like to give their children a leg up on getting into the Ivy League. However, now they are doing something which obscures and defiles one of the most cherished ideas of liberal education: Merit. In other words, now they are artfully gaming the system so that rich, mediocre children can simulate the standing of intellectually superior children. This is how it works: For an outstanding sum of money, a classy, ratty psychiatrist will diagnose your child as possessing a “processing disorder” which makes it harder for him to understand data in a timely fashion. Because of his “processing disorder,” your precious child can get extra time to take his SATS and prospective universities will not know that he was given extra time. Accordingly, students who would have gotten SAT Verbal Scores of 600 are now getting verbal scores of 740, and the university doesn’t know about the psychiatric ruse employed to boost his score.
The counter New Deal inaugurated by Ronald Reagan, the negation of much of the New Deal and its progeny, the decimation of unions in the 80’s and 90’s, and the globalization of trade which forces American workers to compete with billions of third world peasants has exacerbated the plight of the working class. And much of the Democratic establishment doesn’t understand this. (Joe Biden, who has been shabbily treated by the fashion-conscious, youth-adoring Divas of the Democratic establishment, does understand this.)
For example, when Bernie Sanders slaughtered Hillary Clinton in the West Virginia Presidential primary of 2016, Charles Blow, resident snide bourgeois black liberal of the New York Times, dismissed West Virginia in its entirety, stating that it was nothing but a backward land of bigots. Blow is a particularly dumb political commentator as he ignored West Virginia’s long history of progressive politics: a) It seceded from Virginia when Virgina seceded from the Union (It’s mountainous terrain made it inhospitable to slave agriculture and it wanted no part of confederate politics); b) it was torn asunder by coal industrialists and its coal miners audaciously fought predatory capitalism; C) although it was 96 percent Protestant, it went for Catholic John F Kennedy in the 1960 primary, and D) When Democrat Michael Dukakis lost 40 states in 1988, he won West Virginia.
Thinking of West Viginia and how they have been so cruelly portrayed by the pseudo intellectual ignoramuses of New York, I will close with this riveting film clip about gun fights and strikes among coal miners in West Virginia.
